I'm looking for a good air purifier that I can use in my bedroom. Bedroom is about 11 x 10 feet. I have allergy problems that require me to take daily allergy meds and monthly allergy shots.

I'm allergic to cats and just got a kitten. I've been taking Claritin, which seems to help. I was wondering though, do air purifiers really work for pet allergies or are they a waste of money?Emeline

I have a HEPA air filter. It has a button on it, which turns on the optional ionizer feature. The system is made by Honeywell (actually a company called Kaz, which sells it under the Honeywell name.)
Any information on the helpful effects of having negative ions in the air?Francesco

Have an 8 lb. toy miniature schnauzer. Not shedding, supposedly good for people with allergies, but my wife still has reaction to the dog. Are there any good vacuums or air purifiers which would help with limiting dander?Shirely
